Boundary intelligence
The membrane between the housing organisation and its environment — what's allowed to cross, and which way.
Everything that crosses in and out
Boundary intelligence covers contractors and subcontractors with system access, referrals in from local authorities, data shared out to the Regulator of Social Housing, and every other point where the organisation's own systems meet someone else's. Each of those crossings is a decision about trust — what a third party is allowed to see, act on, or feed back in — and most organisations make that decision once, at onboarding, and never revisit it.
Where it feeds Governance Intelligence
A data-sharing agreement signed three years ago with a contractor who has since changed ownership is a boundary intelligence question hiding as a procurement one. Governance Intelligence needs to know not just what crosses the membrane today, but whether the terms under which it crosses are still the ones anyone actually agreed to.
